Rosters, previews for 24 teams competing for Stanley Cup

Welcome to the Phase 3 Buzz. The 24 teams who will be competing for the Stanley Cup will begin training camp at their facilities Monday as part of Phase 3 of the Return to Play Plan. The teams are scheduled to head to their respective hub cities (Toronto for the 12 Eastern Conference teams, Edmonton for the 12 Western Conference teams), on July 26, with the Stanley Cup Qualifiers set to begin Aug. 1 in Phase 4.

NHL training camp rosters announced for Return to Play teams

Training camps will begin Monday as part of Phase 3 of the NHL Return to Play Plan. Teams will then travel July 26 to one of two hub cities, where they will begin Phase 4, the resumption of play, with the Stanley Cup Qualifiers starting Aug. 1. Training camp preview: AHL players who can impact Stanley Cup Qualifiers

With training camps set to begin on July 13 as part of Phase 3 of the NHL Return to Play Plan, NHL.com is taking a closer look at key storylines for each of the 24 teams in the Stanley Cup Qualifiers. 

The Qualifiers will start on Aug. 1 with the top four teams in each conference, based on points percentage, playing a three-game round-robin, and the No. 5-12 seeds playing in eight best-of-5 series. The winners of those series will advance to the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs against the four teams from the round-robin.

Today, we look at 13 players (listed alphabetically with their AHL team in parentheses) who were in the minors before the season was paused March 12 due to concerns surrounding the coronavirus and have the chance to make an impact in the Qualifiers.

Training camps are about to begin as part of Phase 3 of the NHL Return to Play Plan.

The 24-team Stanley Cup Qualifiers will begin Aug. 1 with the top four teams in each conference, based on points percentage, playing a three-game round-robin, and the No. 5-12 seeds paired in eight best-of-5 series. The winners of those series will advance to the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs against the eight teams from the round-robin.
