BOSTON --The Detroit Red Wings will look to slow down the Boston Bruins when they face off at TD Garden on Thursday night. Puck drop between the Atlantic Division rivals is set for 7 p.m., with broadcast coverage on Bally Sports Detroit and the Red Wings Radio Network (97.1 The Ticket in Detroit).

After falling, 6-2, to the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday
, the Red Wings (3-1-2; 8 points) are focused on applying lessons learned from their first regulation loss of the 2022-23 campaign when they battle the Bruins (6-1-0; 12 points) in a tough road test.
"It was a little bit of a wake-up call," said captain Dylan Larkin, who has eight points (4-4-8) and leads Detroit with a plus-4 rating through six games this season. "The reality of this league is that you have to bring it every night. If you don't have your A-plus game or emotion, you have to find something close. Something that's more organized, structured and simple than what we had."

Head coach Derek Lalonde said he "had some hard conversations with a lot of different guys" on Wednesday morning. Now, he's anxious to see how Detroit responds.
"This is a pretty exciting challenge in that Boston is playing as one of the top teams in the league right now," Lalonde said. "This will be a really good opportunity for us to respond from a performance like that and see where we're at against a really good team on the road."
The Bruins are tied with the Vegas Golden Knights for the most points in the NHL. They're riding a three-game winning streak, and improved to 5-0-0 on home ice, after defeating the Dallas Stars, 3-1, on Tuesday.
"They're rolling right now," Larkin said about the Bruins. "We have to be ready to play."

The Red Wings and Bruins will conclude their season series with a home-and-home back-to-back series on March 11-12, 2023.
