Healthy Hockeytown

The Detroit Red Wings have partnered with Trinity Health for the Healthy Hockeytown initiative. Healthy Hockeytown presented by Trinity Health is a platform dedicated to educating Detroit Red Wings fans on the importance of healthy living through fitness, education and nutrition.

Make-A-Wish

Through a heartfelt partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Trinity Health, the Detroit Red Wings Foundation proudly helps bring joy and strength to children facing critical illnesses. These unforgettable experiences often center around the game they love, from exclusive practice visits and behind-the-scenes locker room tours to signing honorary contracts with the team. Each wish granted is a powerful reminder of the hope, happiness, and healing that hockey can inspire.

Hockey Fights Cancer

Hockey Fights Cancer™ is an initiative founded in December 1998 by the National Hockey League and the National Hockey League Players' Association to raise money and awareness for hockey's most important fight. Detroit Red Wings players, fans and staff raise thousands of dollars to support the American Cancer Society in partnership with Comerica Bank each November.

Wings Welcome

The Detroit Red Wings, Trinity Health Michigan and the Michigan Education Savings Program (MESP) are partnering on a unique new, multi-year initiative to welcome the next generation of Hockeytown fans to the world. Beginning January 1, 2024, babies born at Trinity Health’s Oakland County hospital are gifted a Red Wings-branded swaddle blanket and information on a MESP 529 Savings Plan.
