DETROIT- The Detroit Red Wings are set to skate in front of a capacity crowd (20,027) at Joe Louis Arena for the 250th straight time tonight (Saturday) at 7:00 p.m. when the Anaheim Ducks visit Detroit (FOX Sports Detroit / 97.1 The Ticket). Since the sellout streak began on Dec. 19, 2010 against the Dallas Stars, the Red Wings have welcomed more than four million fans to Joe Louis Arena.

"Stretching back six seasons, the current sellout streak is a testament to the tremendous loyalty and support we've received from the fans of Hockeytown," said Tom Wilson, President and CEO of Olympia Entertainment. "As we continue to celebrate the 'Farewell Season at The Joe,' we look forward to creating more memories in historic Joe Louis Arena, and are excited for the state-of-the-art experiences awaiting our fans next season at Little Caesars Arena."
The Red Wings will hang banners outside The Joe to celebrate the 250th consecutive sellout and digital billboards throughout Metro Detroit will display thank you messaging to fans.
Detroit's longest sellout streak was 452 games, stretching Dec. 10, 1996 through April 7, 2007, which included the Red Wings winning three Stanley Cup® Championships.
