ST. LOUIS -- The Detroit Red Wings will open a home-and-home set against the St. Louis Blues, which begins Tuesday night at Enterprise Center.

Puck drop between Detroit (30-30-9; 69 points) and St. Louis (31-33-5; 67 points) is set for 7 p.m. CT/8 p.m. ET, with broadcast coverage on Bally Sports Detroit and the Red Wings Radio Network (97.1 The Ticket in Detroit).
Tuesday's game marks the first of two meetings in a three-day span between the Red Wings and Blues. Detroit will host St. Louis at Little Caesars Arena on Thursday night.

The Red Wings suffered their third straight loss on Monday, dropping a 5-2 decision to the Florida Panthers. Speaking to the media postgame, Andrew Copp said a lack of urgency proved costly for Detroit.
"These games, you gotta find a way to inspire your teammates and yourself," Copp said. "That can be hard. That's our challenge. That's the challenge for the older guys in the room, to find that inspiration. And for the younger guys, it's proving that you belong in the NHL. A lot of guys we have are fighting for spots going forward. You gotta find that gear to push yourself."
As the Red Wings learn to navigate the inevitable bumps in the road, Copp stressed the club must "find that intensity we played in the Boston games every night."

"If we don't play to that standard, then that leaves us vulnerable for games like the last two," Copp said. "When you put down a marker and play as well as we did against the best team in the league twice, you don't wanna come off that. Not to say that our effort or intensity hasn't been there, but there's just a different level that the playoff teams are gearing up towards right now."
The Blues have won four of their past six games, most recently a 3-0 shutout over the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday. Jordan Kyrou (31-34-65) and Robert Thomas (16-44-60) have both crossed the 60-point threshold this season, while Brayden Schenn has six points on one goal and five assists in the past six games.
Goalie Jordan Binnington has seen the most action in the crease for St. Louis this season, posting a 22-24-5 record with a 3.39 goals-against average and .892 save percentage.
