DETROIT - The Red Wings are slowly starting to get healthier.
Wings coach Jeff Blashill said center Luke Glendening would return to the lineup tonight against the Philadelphia Flyers after missing 12 games with an upper-body injury.

Ironically, Glendening was injured in Philadelphia on Dec. 20.
Blashill said Glendening was fully ready to go and would be fine taking face-offs.
Glendening leads the Wings in face-off percentage at 59.4.
The Wings will also be happy to have one of their top penalty killers back, especially with Justin Abdelkader and Darren Helm still out.
"He was a big piece, certainly on the penalty kill, at times this year has been in the top 10 in the league and hasn't been very good lately," Blashill said. "Part of that is you lose real good penalty killers. It's not everything but it's part of it. He's an excellent penalty killer. I won't over-play him tonight. It's been a while since he played. Once he gets going, he's a great match guy, he can go against the other team's best players. He plays to the identity we want to be - we want to be a pressure, fast team. He plays fast because of how hard he works."
Blashill said Abdelkader was a possibliity for Thursday's game against Chicago but Helm and Trevor Daley aren't expected back before the All-Star break.
Blashill said Glendening would be the fourth-line center tonight.
Earlier in the day, the Wings sent center Dominic Turgeon and defenseman Joe Hicketts back to the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins.
"Joe played very well," Blashill said. "He wasn't perfect, nobody was perfect. But I thought he played very well and I like Joe Hicketts a lot. I think he's a real good, young player. When we activated Glenny, we basically needed the salary cap space of two players. I did not want to go 11 and 7 on the back end of a back to back. It has not been the best recipe for success. We need 12 forwards and the guys that were available to send down - Turge and Hicks - became the two guys. I like Joe. I thought he gave us what we needed last night, came in and gave us a little jam. I don't think this is the last we've seen of Joe Hicketts."
Turgeon played in four games, did not record a point and was minus-1.
"I thought Dom played well overall," Blashill said. "I thought three of the four games he played real good in doing what he needs to do to be successful. To get in the league, he's going to have to be a real good two-way center, he's going to have to be a real good penalty killer. I thought he showed those signs. I thought he won battles. He's never going to be super, super fast so he's got to make sure he's real strong on his stick and wins tons of battles and I thought he did a good job of that. So I was happy with Dom."
The Wings have enough defensemen with Niklas Kronwall, Jonathan Ericsson, Danny DeKeyser, Mike Green, Nick Jensen, Xavier Ouellet and Luke Witkowski, if necessary.
STREAKY FLYERS: The Flyers have been hot of late, winning seven of their last eight games.
The Flyers are now 23-16-8 for 54 points, fourth in the Metropolitan Division and currently sit in the first wild-card position in the Eastern Conference.
"I think one, they've gotten real good goaltending," Blashill said. "Two, their big guys are playing at a high level. They've got some elite players on their team and they're playing at a high level. So I think those two things make a big factor. I think the difference between winning and losing is so minuscule in this league that when you get your guys playing at a high level and you're playing with confidence, you can go on a run. They've seen both sides of a run. That's just how close the league is."
Captain Claude Giroux leads his team with 55 points (14 goals), Jakub Voracek is right behind with eight goals among 53 points and Sean Couturier has a team-leading 26 goals among 47 points.
WHO'S IN GOAL: Blashill kept his cards close to the vest when he was asked who was in goal.
Petr Mrazek played Monday night in New Jersey, recording 37 saves in his third shutout of the season.
So far this season, Blashill has alternated goaltenders in back-to-back situations, which would seem to indicate Jimmy Howard would start.
But Blashill has played a goaltender in back-to-back games before and Mrazek doesn't mind, especially when the team does not hold a morning skate.
