Kids 'N Community Foundation Donates $560,000

Foundation's impact will be celebrated in-game March 30

RALEIGH, NC - The Carolina Hurricanes today announced that the Kids 'N Community Foundation has donated a total of $560,000 in cash grants to 29 different children's charitable organizations in North Carolina throughout the 2016-17 season. This grant cycle brings the Foundation and team's donation totals to more than $14 million in cash and in-kind services since 1997. The Foundation will celebrate its 2016-17 grant cycle recipients at the Hurricanes' game on Thursday at PNC Arena against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Nedeljkovic is being recalled on an emergency basis after Carolina netminder Eddie Lack was injured on the final play of the Hurricanes' game on Monday.

Canes Agree To Terms With Kuokkanen

Forward averaging more than a point a game in OHL this season

RALEIGH, NC - Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has agreed to terms with forward Janne Kuokkanen (YAN-eh KWOH-kahn-ehn) on a three-year, entry-level contract. On the NHL level, the deal will pay Kuokkanen $700,000 in 2017-18, $750,000 in 2018-19, and $800,000 in 2019-20. On the American Hockey League (AHL) level, he will be paid $70,000 per season, and Kuokkanen receives a signing bonus of $277,500.

Netminder agrees to three-year, entry-level contract

RALEIGH, NC - Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has agreed to terms with goaltender Callum Booth on a three-year, entry-level contract. The deal will pay Booth $650,000 on the NHL level in the first and second years of the contract, and $700,000 in the third year. On the American Hockey League (AHL) level, he will be paid $65,000 in the first two years, and $67,500 in the third year. He receives a signing bonus of $225,000.
