Canes Announce Florence Relief Efforts

Team to hold Relief Drive; offers ticket special with proceeds to Relief Fund

RALEIGH, NC - Don Waddell, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team will host a Hurricane Florence Relief Drive beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 18, at 3 p.m. All fans donating items will receive vouchers for two tickets to either the team's preseason game on Sept. 19 against Tampa Bay or Sept. 21 against Washington.

The move will allow the team to cancel practice on either Friday or Saturday in order to keep players and staff off of the roads when Raleigh is expected to face its worst effects from Hurricane Florence.
