New this season, 72 of the 84 regular-season Carolina Hurricanes games will be carried in-market on the Hurricanes Hockey Network (HHN). The remaining 12 games will be exclusively carried by national rightsholders such as ESPN and TNT. Owned and operated by Hurricanes Holdings, the organization oversees all aspects of production, distribution, sales and marketing for Hurricanes Hockey Network, in collaboration with the National Hockey League. The network provides fans with live coverage of games, as well as comprehensive pregame and postgame shows and additional programming. 

HHN will be available throughout the Hurricanes’ regional broadcast territory as a direct-to-consumer streaming subscription through Prime Video, and through cable and satellite distribution partners. All currently confirmed viewing options can be found below and will be updated as additional details are announced.

Prime Video

Subscribers within the Hurricanes’ regional territory will be able to choose a monthly subscription for $19.99 or an annual pass for $99.99 to access HHN. Customers do not have to have a paid Prime subscription to access Hurricanes hockey – they will only need a free Amazon account to purchase a Hurricanes Hockey Network subscription.

Note: Our subscription channel on Prime Video will be available prior to the first game on Hurricanes Hockey Network on Oct. 2.

Television

Spectrum

Hurricanes Hockey Network will be carried on Spectrum via the same plans as the team’s previous rightsholder, FanDuel Sports Network. The Hurricanes’ television territory includes all of North Carolina and South Carolina as well as most of Georgia and parts of Alabama. Channel locations will be announced when available.

Over The Air

Saturday Night Hockey on WRAL

The Canes have partnered with WRAL to simulcast 10 Hurricanes Hockey Network game broadcasts over the air on WRAL and FOX 50 in the team’s home market. The package will begin on October 2 in conjunction with the launch of HHN before shifting to “Saturday Night Hockey on WRAL” from December through April.

The full Hurricanes Hockey Network and WRAL simulcast schedule is below. Station assignments between WRAL and FOX 50 will be announced as they are confirmed. Additional over-the-air partners for the package from across the Hurricanes’ broadcast territory will be announced at a later date.
