Privacy Policy

The Club is committed to both protecting the privacy of users of our Site Features and Forums those users with as many opportunities and services as possible. This Privacy Policy covers the Club's treatment of personally identifiable information and non-personally identifiable information that the Club collects when you are on this Site and when you use the Site Features and Forums. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that the Club does not own or control, or to people that the Club does not employ or manage.

Personal Information
The Club may collect personally identifiable information on the Site, including during (i) contest or sweepstakes registration, (ii) subscription registration, (iii) certain surveys or polls conducted on the Site, and (iv) online shopping. Personal information includes, among other things, a users name, credit card number, address, telephone number, date of birth, gender, email address or other internet address. In addition, registration is required and information is collected in certain areas of the Site in which guests provide content submissions and suggestions or participate in interactive online activities (e.g., e-mail cards, chat, or bulletin boards).

Non-Personally Identifiable Information
In addition to personal information, the Club may also gather non-personally identifiable information, which may be used by the Club. Generally, "non-personally identifiable information" means information that is collected through "traffic data" and may entail the use of "Cookies", "IP Addresses" or other numeric codes used to identify a computer or monitor how a user accesses a website.

Information We Request Directly From You; Hurricanes Watch Newsletter
The Club may specifically ask for personal information about you when you sign up to use a Site Feature or Forum or when you participate in online shopping. We may require certain information (such as name, age, email address, billing address, credit card number) in order to provide that service or product to you. We also may ask you for information about your interests and other personal information so that both you and we can take advantage of the interactivity of the Internet, but you may always choose whether to respond or not. Note that we publish the Hurricanes Watch Newsletter. On occasion, the Club may send a third party offer that in the Club's opinion is a value-add to our subscribers. The Club values it's Hurricanes Watch subscribers and sends out such offers on a limited basis. The offer(s) is only sent from the Clubs database, and no third party is allowed access to such database.

Policies for Individuals Under 13
The Club encourages parents and guardians to spend time online with their children and to participate in the interactive activities offered on this Site. No information should be submitted to or posted on the Site by guests under 13 years of age without the consent of their parent or guardian. The Club may use submitted information for its own promotional purposes, but will not provide your personally identifying information to third parties unless otherwise disclosed during collection.All registrants receive e-mail confirming their registration. In addition, if a guest under 13 registers, his/her parent or guardian receives an e-mail alerting them to that registration and providing instructions on how the parent could delete the registration if so desired. Although guests under 13 years of age are allowed to participate in contests, if such a guest wins, notification and prizes are sent to the parents or guardians identified in the initial registration process. No information collected from guests under 13 years of age is used for any marketing or promotional purposes whatsoever, either by the Club or others.

Policies for Individuals 13 Years of Age or Older
By submitting information, individuals 13 years of age or older agree that such Information may be used for marketing and promotional purposes by the Club. Generally, the Club will not share such information with third parties unless otherwise disclosed during collection. If a guest objects to such use for any reason, he/she may stop that use -- either modifying his/her registration information by canceling a registration and then re-registering, or by sending an e-mail to the e-mail address indicated on the sign-up page. Every effort will be made to maintain your information in a secure environment by the Club.

About IP Addresses
The Club collects IP addresses for the purposes of system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. An IP address is a number that's automatically assigned to your computer whenever you're surfing the Web. Web servers -- the big computers that "serve" up Web pages -- automatically identify your computer by its IP address. When guests request pages from the Site, our servers log the guests' IP addresses. We do not link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable. This means that a user's session will be logged, but the user remains anonymous to us.

Use of Cookies
Cookies are pieces of information that a website transfers to an individual's hard drive for record keeping purposes. Cookies make web-surfing easier for you by saving your passwords, purchases, and preferences while you're at our Site. The use of cookies is an Industry standard -- you'll find them at most major web sites. This Site uses cookies. By showing how and when guests use the site, cookies help us see which areas are popular and which are not. You may occasionally get cookies from our advertisers. The Club does not control these cookies, and a different cookie policy may apply to them. The use of advertising cookies sent by third-party servers is standard in the Internet industry. Most browsers are initially set to accept cookies. If you'd prefer, you can set yours to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. However, it is possible that some parts of the Site will not function properly if you do so.

None of NHL ICE, NHL Enterprises, L.P., NHL Enterprises Canada, L.P., NHL Enterprises B.V., the National Hockey League and its other member clubs, nor any of their respective officers, directors, governors, owners, other officials, partners, partnerships, principals, employees, affiliates and other related entities, servants, agents, representatives, successors and assigns, have any control of, or responsibility or liability for, our use, disclosure, storage or transmission of any information collected through our websites.
