By the Numbers will highlight the on-ice accomplishments in the 2017-18 season for the Detroit Red Wings' prospects. Twice a week during the offseason, By the Numbers will profile a different player in the system, focusing on his statistical highs. This week we focus on defenseman Reilly Webb.

Reilly Webb is new to the Detroit Red Wings organization as he was selected in the 2017 draft last summer in Chicago.
The Wings liked Webb even though he did not play a lot of games because he had to have shoulder surgery in his draft year.
Detroit has quite a few smaller defensemen in the system so they were looking to add some size to the mix, which they did with the 6-foot-3 Webb.
Webb was one of several Detroit prospects who switched teams during the season.
He was traded from the Hamilton Bulldogs to the Saginaw Spirit on Jan. 10, 2018.
66 -- It may not seem like a lot, but Webb played in 66 games this past season after totaling just 20 in the previous two seasons combined due to injury.
36 -- The 36 games Webb played for the Hamilton Bulldogs is also more than his total played the previous two seasons. Webb had one goal and was minus-2.
30 -- After the trade, Webb played in 30 games for the Saginaw Spirit. He had three assists and was minus-10.
1 -- On Oct. 15 when the Bulldogs were at the North Bay Battalion, Webb scored his first Ontario Hockey League goal at 18:19 of the third period, tying the game at 3. The Bulldogs went on to win 4-3.
164 -- The Wings took Webb in the sixth round of the 2017 draft, 164th overall.
2 -- Webb has played with two other Wings prospects this season. When he was in Hamilton, goaltender Kaden Fulcher was a teammate. Fulcher signed with the Wings as a free agent on Oct. 3, 2017. After his trade to Saginaw, Webb played with Brady Gilmour, who was taken in the same draft as Webb, but in the seventh round, 193rd overall.
Quotable: "I actually coached him in Hamilton, too, so I've known him a number of years now. I think he progressed extremely well. He didn't have a great start to the season, being injured. Coming in, he developed into a great shutdown defenseman for us. He has to stay healthy - that's the truth - and continue to play with an edge in his game and take a bigger role with our club and be the leader that we believe he can be." -- Troy Smith, Saginaw Spirit head coach
