Coyotes, Glendale & AEG Invest in State-of-the-Art Centerhung Video Board

Video board is nearly three times the size of previous video board

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - The Arizona Coyotes announced today that the club has partnered with the City of Glendale and AEG to purchase and install a Daktronics high definition centerhung display system and auxiliary displays at Gila River Arena. The videoboard will be ready for the drop of the puck on Opening Night, October 6, when the Coyotes host the Anaheim Ducks. Terms of the purchase are not disclosed pursuant to the agreement.

"One of our core goals as an organization is to provide our great fans with the best experience possible at every one of our games and we know that this state-of-the-art videoboard at Gila River Arena will be a game changer in that regard," said Coyotes' President & CEO Ahron Cohen. "We are very grateful to the City of Glendale and AEG for partnering with us to create a more dynamic and engaging atmosphere at all of our Coyotes games with the videoboard."

Coyotes Sign Dvorak to Six-Year Contract Extension

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes President of Hockey Operations & General Manager John Chayka announced today that the Coyotes have signed center Christian Dvorak to a six-year contract extension. As per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

"We are very pleased to sign Christian to a long-term contract," said Chayka. "Christian is a highly skilled, reliable, two-way center who continues to improve each season. He will be a key player for us in the future and we are thrilled to have him with us for the next seven seasons."

Coyotes Announce Kachina Saturdays Coming to Gila River Arena This Season

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - The Arizona Coyotes announced today that the club will introduce Kachina Saturdays at Gila River Arena this season. The Coyotes are entering their 23rd year in the Valley and Kachina Saturdays will provide fans with an opportunity to celebrate the Coyotes proud history over the past two decades.

"Our goal with Kachina Saturdays is to make Gila River Arena the Valley's place to be on 13 Saturdays this season," said Coyotes' President & CEO Ahron Cohen. Coyotes to Retire Doan's No. 19 Jersey on Feb. 24

Shane Doan to become the first Coyotes player to have his jersey retired at Gila River Arena

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - The Arizona Coyotes announced today that the club will retire former Coyotes' Captain Shane Doan's number 19 jersey on Sunday, February 24 when the Coyotes host the Winnipeg Jets. Game time is 7:00 p.m. Doan will become the first Coyotes player to have his jersey retired at Gila River Arena. Former Coyotes players Keith Tkachuk (7), Jeremy Roenick (97) and Teppo Numminen (27) along with former Winnipeg Jets players Bobby Hull (9), Thomas Steen (25) and Dale Hawerchuk (10) have been inducted into the Coyotes' Ring of Honor.

"Shane Doan is Mr. Coyote and a Valley icon," said Coyotes' President & CEO Ahron Cohen. "No one has done more for the Coyotes or the game of hockey in Arizona than Shane. For the past 22 years, Shane has been an incredible ambassador for our franchise and has represented the Coyotes with class, dignity and professionalism. Coyotes to Play in Rookie Tournament in Las Vegas

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes President of Hockey Operations and General Manager John Chayka announced today that the Coyotes will participate in a rookie tournament hosted by the Vegas Golden Knights from September 8-11. Arizona will play three games during the tournament including vs. San Jose on Sept. 8, at Los Angeles on Sept. 9 and at Anaheim on Sept. 11. All games will be held at City National Arena in Las Vegas.

Arizona's rookies will report for rookie camp at Gila River Arena on Sept. 6 for medicals and fitness testing followed by an on-ice practice on Sept. 7 before traveling to Las Vegas.

Coyotes Name Hofford Assistant General Manager & Director of Scouting

Coyotes and Roadrunners Unveil New DEK Hockey Rink in Tucson

TUCSON, AZ -- The Arizona Coyotes and the Tucson Roadrunners unveiled a new outdoor DEK hockey rink at Doolen Middle School with the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Tucson today. The total cost of the project was $250,000. The Coyotes, along with the NHL and the NHLPA launched an initiative in April of 2017 to build several new DEK hockey rinks around the state of Arizona.

"We're thrilled to unveil the first of hopefully many new DEK hockey rinks in Tucson," said Coyotes' President & CEO Ahron Cohen. "The Coyotes are committed to Arizona and to growing the game of hockey in our state. Coyotes Sign Broadcast Team to Multi-Year Contracts
