Habs outfits

The 2026 Tim Hortons Heritage Classic was set to be a cold one and the Montreal Canadiens came prepared.

The team showed up for the special outdoor game dressed as beer brewery workers, complete with full coveralls and hard hats.

The outfits were a nod to the Molson family and team president Geoff Molson, a seventh generation descendant of John Molson, founder of Molson beer. The Molson family also still owns a significant portion of what is now called the Molson Coors Beverage Company.

“I think it’s great," said Canadiens coach Martin St.-Louis. "We’re very lucky to have Geoff Molson as an owner. He’s an excellent person. It was the players’ choice. I had nothing to do with that decision, and it wasn’t influenced by Geoff, but it shows how much we appreciate him. I like it."

The Canadiens donned the outfits continuing with the tradition of NHL teams showing up wearing themed getups for special outdoor games like the Heritage Classic, Winter Classic and Stadium Series.

The back of the coveralls showed off the word "Heritage" written in script.

Cheers to that.
