DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings today recalled defenseman Brian Lashoff from the American Hockey League's Grand Rapids Griffins.

Lashoff, 28, has not skated for the Red Wings in 2018-19 but has appeared in 123 NHL games with the club since 2012-13, tallying 13 points (2-11-13) and 57 penalty minutes, while also appearing in eight NHL Stanley Cup Playoff games. The Albany, N.Y., native has skated in 26 games for the Griffins this season, logging seven points (0-7-7), 21 penalty minutes and a plus-two rating. Lashoff has played parts of 10 seasons for the Griffins since making his professional debut during the 2008-09 season. The 6-foot-3, 219-pound defenseman has tallied 91 points (21-70-91), a plus-18 rating and 215 penalty minutes in 426 games with the Griffins, while recording 19 points (5-4-19) in 73 AHL postseason games for Grand Rapids.

DETROIT (December 31, 2018) - Lake Superior State claimed their first MacInnes Cup with a 6-3 win over Michigan Tech on Monday in the Championship Game of the 54th annual Great Lakes Invitational in front of 12,117 college hockey fans at the award-winning Little Caesars Arena in The District Detroit. Earlier in the day, Michigan and Michigan State skated to a 2-2 tie in the Third Place Game.
