2019 NHL Prospect Tournament returns to Traverse City

Maple Leafs to become fourth original six participant in eight-team tournament

DETROIT - Detroit Red Wings Executive Vice President and General Manager Ken Holland today announced that the Red Wings will host their annual NHL Prospect Tournament at Centre ICE Arena in Traverse City, Mich., in September 2019. The Toronto Maple Leafs have been added to the eight-team pool, joining the Chicago Blackhawks, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild, New York Rangers, St. Louis Blues and Red Wings.

DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings, through the team's Hockeytown Cares platform, have joined forces with the American Cancer Society to host the club's annual Hockey Fights Cancer Night, presented by Comerica Bank, on Tuesday, Nov. 13, when the Red Wings square off against the Arizona Coyotes at 7:30 p.m. at the award-winning Little Caesars Arena (FOX Sports Detroit & 97.1 The Ticket). Red Wings fans attending Tuesday's game are encouraged to wear lavender to help support cancer awareness.

DETROIT - Fans attending the Detroit Red Wings vs. Winnipeg Jets game at Little Caesars Arena on Friday night (7:30 p.m.) are encouraged to arrive early. An event at nearby Cass Tech High School featuring former President Barack Obama will take place at 7:30 p.m., with doors to Cass Tech opening at 5:30 p.m. Doors to the Comerica and Meijer entrances at Little Caesars Arena will also open to ticketed fans at 5:30 p.m.

In addition to the Red Wings game and event at Cass Tech, Luke Bryan will be performing at Ford Field Friday beginning at 5:30 p.m., Evil Dead: The Musical will be held at City Theatre at 8 p.m., and Brockhampton will perform at The Masonic at 9 p.m.

The District Detroit's official parking guide is ParkDistrictDetroit.com. The site allows drivers to find and pre-purchase the most convenient parking available near Little Caesars Arena.
