DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings today announced that Joe Louis Arena melted ice vials are now on sale. Fans can purchase the limited-edition vials of melted ice that the Red Wings skated on during the "Farewell Season at The Joe" as the team prepares for the 2017-18 season at the state-of-the-art Little Caesars Arena.

DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings today assigned forwards Zach Gallant, Brady Gilmour and Lane Zablocki and defensemen Cole Fraser, Jordan Sambrook and Reilly Webb to their respective major junior teams. Additionally, the Red Wings released forwards Oliver Castleman, Isaac Johnson, Sean Josling and Luke Kutkevicius, defensemen Marcus Crawford and Evan Fiala and goaltender Corbin Boes from their amateur tryouts.

Red Wings release 2017 training camp roster and team breakdowns

Team Howe, Team Lindsay and Team Delvecchio to skate at Centre Ice Arena from Sept. 15-18

DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings today released their 2017-18 training camp roster, comprised of 74 players who will hit the ice on Friday, Sept. 15 at Centre Ice Arena in Traverse City, Mich., for four days of camp before beginning preseason play at Boston on Tuesday, Sept. 19.

This season, the Red Wings will bring 41 forwards, 25 defensemen and eight goaltenders to Traverse City to participate in daily on-ice practices or situational scrimmages. Following the team's annual Red & White Game on Monday, Sept. 18, players will break camp in preparation for the preseason opener on Tuesday, Sept. 19 against the Boston Bruins, the first of three-straight preseason road games prior to the first-ever preseason home game at the state-of-the-art Little Caesars Arena on Saturday, Sept. 23 against the Bruins.

DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings have teamed up with the American Red Cross to support disaster relief efforts, including aid for victims of Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. During the months of September and October, the team will host various opportunities for fans to join the Red Wings in supporting the cause. Already this month, Detroit Red Wings and Olympia Entertainment colleagues united with the Detroit Tigers to donate toiletries and clothing to the Detroit Police Department's "Houston Relief Run," a donation drive to support Houston, Texas first responders.

DETROIT - More than 20,000 people are expected to visit the new state-of-the-art Little Caesars Arena during the free Community Sneak Peek taking place on Saturday, September 9 from 2 p.m.-8 p.m. Guests must have reserved a free ticket for a specific tour time in advance in order to enter the building. 1. With all the excitement and development in The District Detroit and beyond, there will be noticeable signs of progress - and ongoing construction. Plan to arrive early when attending an event and enjoy one of four Little Caesars Arena restaurants - open on event and non-event days - or any one of the establishments in the area.

2. Pre-paid parking ensures you a spot in the surface lot or garage of your choice. Check out Ticketmaster.com, Parkwhiz.com or The District Detroit app - soon to be available - to secure your parking before you arrive. Most Olympia Development lots are credit card only.

3. The District Detroit App, presented by XFINITY, will be launched prior to the first ticketed event. The App will be the go-to tool for fans visiting Little Caesars Arena and the surrounding area.

4. Ride sharing drop-off and pickup for services like Uber are on the I-75 service drive between Park Street and Woodward Avenue.

5. For the comfort and safety of our guests, Little Caesars Arena and its surrounding areas are non-smoking and re-entry to the arena after exiting is not allowed.

6. The Little Caesars Arena bag policy allows soft-sided bags and briefcases smaller than 14" x 14" by 6". Diaper bags and medical bags are permitted as well. Hard-sided bags of any kind are prohibited. All persons and bags exiting or entering the arena are subject to inspection.

7. Doors to Little Caesars Arena generally open 1.5 hours prior to start time for Red Wings and Pistons games and will vary for concerts and other shows - check event details for more information.

8. The Little Caesars Arena Via is open to the public on most days. Guests will pass through security screening to enter the facility.
