March 12th game at Joe Louis Arena moved to 7:00 p.m.

Detroit to Battle New York Rangers on NBCSN

DETROIT - The start time for the Detroit Red Wings home game on Sunday, March 12 against the New York Rangers has been changed to a 7:00 p.m. puck drop. The game, originally scheduled for a 12:30 p.m. start on NBC, will now air at 7:00 p.m. on NBCSN.

Doors to Joe Louis Arena will open at 5:30 p.m. on March 12 for the 7:00 p.m. puck drop between the Red Wings and Rangers. The first 2,500 kids (12 and under) at The Joe will receive a Kids Goalie Mask Bank, presented by MESP.

Red Wings sign Jensen to two-year extension

Rookie has appeared in 27 games with Red Wings in 2016-17

DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings today signed defenseman Nick Jensen to a two-year contract extension.

Jensen, 26, made his NHL debut and recorded his first career assist on Dec. 20 at Tampa Bay and has gone on to log 27 games with the team, registering eight points (3-5-8). He notched his first NHL goal on Jan. 31 vs. New Jersey and is currently tied for second among the team's defensemen in goals. The rookie blueliner averages 16:05 time on ice and sits seventh among NHL rookie defensemen with more than 10 games played with a 0.30 points-per-game average. Jensen has also logged six points (1-5-6) in 27 games with the Griffins. Currently in his fourth professional season, Jensen has totaled 61 points (10-51-61), 46 penalty minutes and a plus-51 rating for the Griffins since debuting in 2013-14.

Detroit recalls Miller and Coreau

Red Wings begin five-game road trip in Vancouver tomorrow at 10:00 p.m

DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings today recalled left wing Drew Miller and goaltender Jared Coreau from the American Hockey League's Grand Rapids Griffins.

Miller, 33, has appeared in seven games with Grand Rapids, notching two goals, one assist and eight shots on goal. He has also skated in 35 games with the Red Wings this season, recording six points (5-1-6) and 14 penalty minutes. Miller has totaled 106 points (56-50-106) and 484 games since joining the Red Wings in 2009-10 and has recorded 121 career points (62-59-121) in 551 NHL games between the Red Wings, Anaheim Ducks and Tampa Bay Lightning since making his NHL debut in 2006-07. Miller has also tallied 13 points (6-7-13) in 60 Stanley Cup playoff games, and helped the Ducks to a Stanley Cup championship in 2007, skating in three games as a first-year pro.

DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings today announced details surrounding the "Joe Moment Bracket Challenge," presented by FOX Sports Detroit. Red Wings fans will have an opportunity to vote for their favorite moment at Joe Louis Arena in a bracket-style format featuring 32 of the top moments in Red Wings history at The Joe.

For the rest of the regular season, memorable moments will go head-to-head in the bracket challenge, giving fans an opportunity to relive the top moments in Joe Louis Arena history. Fans can then cast a vote for their favorite memory, with the moment receiving the most votes advancing to the next round. Additionally, a custom hashtag has been created for each moment to allow fans to share their vote via social media.

Coreau assigned to Grand Rapids

Red Wings' bye week begins today; next game is Feb. 28 at Vancouver

DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings today assigned goaltender Jared Coreau to the American Hockey League's Grand Rapids Griffins for conditioning.

Coreau has appeared in 13 games during his first NHL season, posting a 5-3-3 record, 3.27 goals-against average, 0.893 save percentage and a team-best two shutouts. The Perth, Ontario, native made his NHL debut on Dec. 3 at Pittsburgh and earned his first NHL win in his second career start on Dec. 23 at Florida. The victory kicked off a stretch of eight consecutive decisions for Coreau without a regulation loss (5-0-3), including a season-high 45 saves on Jan. 24 at Boston. Coreau has also made 17 appearances for the Griffins this season and ranked among the league's top goalies at the time of his call-up with 11 wins (T3rd), a 2.18 goals-against average (T10th) and a 0.924 save percentage (T9th).

DETROIT - Olympia Entertainment and the Horizon League today announced details surrounding the first Horizon League Basketball Camp for boys and girls ages 8-14, set to take place on Sunday, March 5, from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m., in conjunction with the Little Caesars Horizon League Basketball Championships from March 3-7 at Joe Louis Arena.

For the low cost of $25, participants will enjoy the unique experience of playing basketball on the court at historic Joe Louis Arena, while taking part in various basketball drills and exercises led by former Oakland University standouts, Jonathon Jones (2006-10) and Brandon Cassise (2004-08). Each participant will also receive two tickets to watch all four games of the "Motor City Madness" tournament on Sunday, March 5, in addition to two food vouchers for a slice of pizza or hot dog and a Horizon League T-shirt.
