DETROIT - Olympia Entertainment today announced a men's college basketball doubleheader featuring the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, Oakland University and the University of Detroit Mercy on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017 at Little Caesars Arena. These inaugural college basketball games at the state-of-the-art Little Caesars Arena will feature an exclusive doubleheader of in-state matchups between Michigan vs. Detroit Mercy followed by Michigan State vs. Oakland.

DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings today signed forward Christoffer Ehn to a three-year entry-level contract. The 6-foot-3, 181-pound center is currently with the American Hockey League's Grand Rapids Griffins as the club is set to begin its Central Division Semifinals playoff series against the Milwaukee Admirals tomorrow (Friday, April 21) at 7 p.m. at Van Andel Arena.

DETROIT - The NCAA announced today that Little Caesars Arena will be the host site for three Division I Men's sporting events, in addition to rounds 1 & 2 of the 2018 NCAA Men's Basketball Championships, which was announced in November, 2014. This means the venue has been awarded four events before its opening in September, 2017.

DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday agreed to terms with defenseman Dennis Cholowski on a three-year entry-level contract.

Cholowski was Detroit's first choice (20th overall) in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft and played 36 games as a freshman at St. Cloud State University, totaling 12 points (1-11-12) and 14 penalty minutes. The 19-year-old defenseman was one of the youngest to compete in the NCAA this season, ranking fourth in points among 1998-born defensemen.
