The Pittsburgh Penguins and Pittsburgh Public Schools are proud to announce PPS All-Stars, a new mentoring program that includes the commitment from the Penguins that all Pittsburgh Public Schools students and educators within K-5, 6-8, and K-8 schools are able to attend a Penguins hockey game for free at PPG Paints Arena.
The PPS All-Stars program will include mentorship and career path development sessions led by Penguins players, front office executives, and staff. The program also offers two (2) complimentary tickets to all participating students, teachers and staff to attend a regular season Penguins home game this season.

"The future of our city depends on investing in our young people, in particular our children at Pittsburgh Public Schools," said Pittsburgh Penguins President of Business Operations Kevin Acklin. "They represent our future leaders, CEOs, players, and fans, and the Penguins are excited to bring them to PPG Paints Arena and help mentor the life skills that are core to performing academically and athletically at the highest levels."
The Penguins are increasingly focused on using the power of hockey to invest in the Pittsburgh community. PPS All-Stars deepens the team's existing relationship with the city's public schools, and adds to the Penguins' free learn to skate and diversity hockey programs at their Highmark Hunt Armory community rink in Shadyside.
"The Pittsburgh Penguins continue to serve as a valuable partner to our students, families and staff," said Pittsburgh Public Schools Superintendent Wayne N. Walters. "Through the generous gift of PPS All-Stars, they are removing barriers that in the past prevented access to Penguins games and, more importantly, exposure to the sport of hockey."
The program kicks off when the Penguins face the Dallas Stars on December 12th, and starting in the new year, the Penguins will host several mentoring and career development sessions at PPG Paints Arena and at various PPS schools in the district. Each eligible PPS student, teacher, and staff will receive access to redeem two (2) tickets to a regular-season home game and vouchers for a complementary food item and drink, courtesy of Aramark.
