The Pittsburgh Penguins have activated forward Ryan Poehling from injured reserve, it was announced today by General Manager Ron Hextall.

Forward Alex Nylander's status has been changed from emergency recall to regular recall.
Poehling, 24, has played in 38 games during his first season as a Penguin. The forward has recorded five goals, six assists, 11 points and is a plus-6. He has scored two of the Penguins' five shorthanded goals on the season.
The Lakeville, Minnesota native has appeared in 123 career NHL games split between Pittsburgh and the Montreal Canadiens, registering 18 goals, 15 assists and 33 points. At the AHL level, Poehling has tallied 44 points (19G-25A) in 71 career AHL games.
The Penguins take on the New York Rangers today for the first of two-consecutive games against them at Madison Square Garden. Puck drop is set for 7:00 PM ET.
