Fifty-goal scorer Jean Pronovost, fan favorites Darius Kasparaitis and Bob "Battleship Kelly, general manager/coach Eddie Johnston and Hall of Famers Larry Murphy and Bryan Trottier will be among the honored guests when the Penguins hold the final alumni salute of their 50th anniversary season during Friday's game against Columbus at PPG Paints Arena.
Also attending will be Jiri Hrdina, a member of the Penguins' 1991 and 1992 Stanley Cup championship teams; Lowell MacDonald, who played with Pronovost on the "Century Line; and four former team captains - Orest Kindrachuk, Mike Bullard, Dan Frawley and Pronovost.
The rest of the alumni roster includes Russ Anderson, Colby Armstrong, J.S. Aubin, Doug Bodger, Pat Boutette, Rod Buskas, Kim Clackson, John Cullen, Denis Herron, Mark Kachowski, Rick Kessell, Francois Leroux, Gary Rissling, Doug Shedden and Ron Stackhouse.
Members of management and team staff attending will be coach Pierre Creamer, equipment manager John Doolan and trainer Steve Thomas.
The alums will attend the morning skate at PPG Paints Arena and then be honored in a special on-ice ceremony before Friday's game.
