At 7 p.m., NHL Network will present a screening of its new documentary on the first NHL Winter Classic, when the Penguins defeated the Buffalo Sabres at Ralph Wilson Stadium in Buffalo in 2008. Titled NHL Network Originals: The First NHL Winter Classic, Hockey Goes Outside, the documentary is narrated by Pittsburgh native Michael Keaton and includes interviews with Sidney Crosby, Colby Armstrong, Tyler Kennedy, coach Michel Therrien and broadcasters Mike "Doc" Emrick and Bob Costas, among others.
At 8 p.m. fans may stay to watch the first period of the Penguins' road game against the Arizona Coyotes, televised by AT&T SportsNet.
There also will be public skating from 7- 9 p.m.
The event is open for free to the general public, but space is limited to 300 skaters and 300 other viewers and registration is required.

The documentary commemorates the 10-year anniversary of the first Winter Classic, which established a precedent for 21 more NHL outdoor games over the next decade.
