The Penguins continue along their six-game homestand as they take on the Detroit Red Wings at PPG Paints Arena. Doors to the arena open at 6:00 PM for fans. Pittsburgh is facing Detroit for the first time since Feb. 16, 2020 - a 5-1 win for the Penguins at PPG Paints Arena. Sidney Crosby (1G-1A) recorded multiple points in the win. Pittsburgh enters tonight's game with wins in five of its last six contests against Detroit (5-1-0). Here at home, the Penguins have won four-straight games, and six of their last seven versus the Red Wings dating back to Feb. 18, 2016. Pittsburgh is 2-0-1 through three games in their six-game homestand.

The Pittsburgh Penguins will wear green warmup jerseys before their game in support of The DICK'S Sporting Goods Foundation's Sports Matter initiative.The jerseys, as well as other memorabilia, will be available for auction for one week at http://sportsmatter.givesmart.com with all proceeds going to the Sports Matter Program. Additionally, the Penguins and The DICK'S Sporting Goods Foundation will present a grant to the Hunt Armory's diversity programming, providing hockey and skating access and instruction to new, diverse youth athletes.
