Pens to Host Annual Prospect Development Camp from June 28 to July 1

All practices, including the Saturday scrimmage, will be open to the public at UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex

The Pittsburgh Penguins will be hosting their annual prospect development camp next week, beginning on Wednesday, June 28 and ending on Saturday, July 1. All on-ice practices will be held at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry, Pa. 

Fans can attend all of the on-ice practices, including the 3-on-3 camp-concluding scrimmage on Saturday, July 1 at 3:00 PM. A complete camp schedule is listed below.

NWHL Returning to Pittsburgh in January

NWHL and two-time defending Stanley Cup champion Penguins to co-host clinic and regular season game as part of the Penguins' "NHL Girls Youth Cup" Tournament

BROOKLYN, NY, June 23, 2017 - The National Women's Hockey League and the Pittsburgh Penguins today announced a collaboration to present an NWHL regular season game and hockey clinic on Jan. 14, 2018.

The NWHL events will be part of the "NHL Girls Youth Cup," a large-scale tournament hosted by the Penguins. Both will be at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex, the state-of-the-art practice facility of the Penguins in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania.

Penguins to Select 31st Overall in the First Round of the 2017 NHL Draft

Winning a second-straight Stanley Cup has the Penguins sitting in the preferred draft position of all 31 NHL teams heading into the 2017 NHL Draft on Friday night in Chicago. Pittsburgh will make its first-round selection with the 31st and final pick of the opening round.

Fans can watch the 2017 NHL Draft live on Friday beginning at 7:00 PM ET on NBC Sports Network. Rounds 2-7 will air Saturday morning on the NHL Network starting at 10:00 AM ET.

This year, the Penguins own six draft choices, including a first-round pick for the first time since 2014 when the Pens chose Finnish forward Kasperi Kapanen with the 22nd-overall pick.

Penguins Re-Sign Defenseman Chad Ruhwedel to a Two-Year Contract

11 Saturday Home Games Highlight the Pens' '17-18 Regular-Season Schedule

When the National Hockey League announced the complete 2017-18 regular-season schedule on Thursday, Penguins fans were among the big winners. During the upcoming season, there will be 11 Saturday home games at PPG Paints Arena, including nine night games. 

The first of those Saturday night affairs will come on October 7 when the Penguins host the Nashville Predators at 7:00 PM in a rematch of the 2017 Stanley Cup Final. All of the Pens' Saturday night home games can be viewed in a table near the bottom of the release.

Another date that Penguins fans will circle on the calendar is the return of three-time Stanley Cup champion Marc-Andre Fleury with his new club, the Vegas Golden Knights. His return to Pittsburgh will come on Tuesday, February 6 at 7:00 PM at PPG Paints Arena. Fleury, the winningest goalie in Pens history, was claimed by the Golden Knights in the Expansion Draft on Wednesday.

The Vegas Golden Knights chose Marc-Andre Fleury as their selection from the Penguins in the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft on Wednesday night at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. 

"We want to thank Marc-Andre Fleury for everything that he has done for the Penguins and the City of Pittsburgh," said Jim Rutherford, executive vice president and general manager of the Penguins. "Marc-Andre is more than just a three-time Stanley Cup champion; he is one of the greatest Pittsburgh Penguins ever, and one of the best and most impactful sports figures in Pittsburgh history. Teams have to make extremely difficult decisions in the salary cap era, but Marc-Andre has been an ultimate professional throughout this process. We hold him in the highest regard as both a player and a person, and we wish nothing but the best for him and his family. He has left a great and lasting legacy in our city."
