The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Atley Calvert to a two-year entry-level contract, it was announced today by President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Kyle Dubas.

Calvert, 22, recently completed his second season in the Penguins organization, spending the full year in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. The 6-foot-1, 194-pound forward tallied 38 points (16G-22A) in 70 games. He also had six points (3G-3A) in 15 games in the Calder Cup playoffs. Calvert led Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in games played (70) and ranked sixth on the team in points (38).

In the 2024-25 season, the forward split the season between Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL. He skated in 38 games with the Nailers and tallied 36 points (13G-23A) and recorded 14 points (9G-5A) in 26 games with the WBS Penguins.

Prior to turning pro, Calvert played four seasons in the Western Hockey League (WHL), all with the Moose Jaw Warriors, from 2020-24. The undrafted skater had 220 points (105G-115A) in 237 career games. Calvert also scored 38 points (14G-24A) in 40 career games in the WHL playoffs.

The Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan native won the WHL championship in 2023-24 and was named to the WHL (East) Second All-Star Team that same year after scoring 95 points (47G-48A) in 68 games.
