The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Derek Grant from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.

Grant, 28, has split his first season in the Pittsburgh organization between the NHL level with Pittsburgh, and the AHL's WBS Penguins. He has skated in six games thus far with Pittsburgh.
At the AHL level, Grant has three goals, four points and a plus-5 in five games with WBS. Earlier this morning, Grant contributed an assist, two shots and was plus-2 in WBS' 5-1 win at Springfield, a game that featured goalie Tristan Jarry scoring into an empty net for WBS.
The Penguins host the Tampa Bay Lightning tomorrow night, November 15 at 7:00 PM at PPG Paints Arena. Throughout the evening, the Penguins will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Mario Lemieux Foundation. Mario will drop the puck at a ceremonial opening faceoff, then sign a jersey that will be part of a charity auction. The Penguins' traditional in-game auction will benefit the Mario Lemieux Foundation, and there also will be unique auction items available at
