NEW YORK (Sept. 27, 2016) - The National Hockey League and Pittsburgh Penguins® today unveiled the 2017 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series™ logo as the team prepares to host intrastate rivals Philadelphia Flyers®. This regular-season outdoor matchup will celebrate the 50th anniversary of both the Penguins and Flyers, who were introduced to the NHL® as part of the six-team 1967 NHL Expansion.

The 2017 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series™ logo incorporates elements of Pittsburgh and the hometown Penguins. The iconic black and gold color scheme are the colors of both the Penguins and the City of Pittsburgh. The gold bridge at the top of the logo pays homage to the city's numerous bridges crossing the Allegheny, Ohio and Monongahela Rivers and the riveted plates at the bottom are a tribute to Pittsburgh's steel industry.
The outdoor game will be played at Heinz Field, home of the NFL's Pittsburgh Steelers, on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017. The game will be broadcast in primetime on NBC in the United States and on Sportsnet and TVA Sports in Canada at 8 p.m. ET.
