More Drury?:With Teuvo Teravainen out of the lineup indefinitely due to a broken hand suffered in Game 2, rookie Jack Drury took his top-line spot next to Sebastian Aho and Seth Jarvis on Friday. Drury won a championship playing in the SHL in Sweden two seasons ago before bringing home a Calder Cup with the Chicago Wolves in the American Hockey League last year.
In Net:As of Saturday afternoon Rod Brind'Amour said he and his staff hadn't decided who would start Game 4 for the Canes. If it's Antti Raanta for a fourth consecutive game, it would be his first time making four starts in seven days since joining the club. However, Frederik Andersen could be an option after missing Game 2 due to illness. Rod Brind'Amour said Friday that Andersen could have dressed if needed, but Pyotr Kochetkov instead served as Raanta's backup for a second consecutive game. Kochetkov has two wins over the Islanders in his young career, including a 16-save shutout earlier this season, so it's anyone's guess who will have the net in this contest for Carolina.
More Rough Stuff:The two teams combined for 71 hits and 78 penalty minutes on Friday, with six misconducts being dished out in the final minute of play. Will there be more rough stuff today?
From The Blue Line:One of Carolina's biggest strengths all season long was the scoring from their defenseman, as the group posted a franchise-record 59 goals. Brady Skjei and Burns led the way with 18 goals each, finishing tied for third in goals by an NHL defenseman this season, trailing only Erik Karlson (25) and Dougie Hamilton (22). Thus far in this series, only Jaccob Slavin has scored for the unit, producing one of the team's seven goals so far.
Shooting For Three:Carolina went 46-5-5 when scoring three goals or more during the regular season. They are 1-0 in the postseason when reaching the benchmark.
