Go Time: Training camp is a wrap, the preseason is in the books and now it's time to get down to business for real. Rod Brind'Amour emphatically stated after Wednesday's skate that his team has had enough practice. They're ready to go.
Put It All Together: The team's third preseason game against Nashville at PNC Arena was the closest we've seen to what tonight's full lineup will be. It'll be thrilling to finally see the team's depth in action. The top six firepower including Aho, Svechnikov and Teravainen (just to name a few) will be enamoring to see, but don't overlook those behind them as well. Having players like Derek Stepan getting
fourth line matchups could present some mismatches, thus providing a potential X-Factor for tonight's game. Or, to counter, Stepan can certainly hold his own against the opposition's top six, thus setting up mismatches for the Canes top half of the lineup.
Andersen Starts: Rod Brind'Amour stated yesterday after practice that Frederik Andersen will get the start tonight. His teammates have spoke very highly of his play in practice and along with a 36/37 performance against Tampa during the preseason, confidence is high in the team's new Danish netminder.
