RALEIGH, NC - The 21st annual Skate with the Canes event will take place on Thursday, November 15 at PNC Arena. Skate with the Canes is one of the most interactive, all-access, behind-the-scenes, player-friendly events benefitting the Carolina Hurricanes Foundation. This event allows fans and players to interact in an intimate environment by rotating through autographs, locker room photos, and skating sessions in small groups of 200. The event will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
The $85 ticket includes all the activities below, a gift courtesy of the Carolina Hurricanes, poster, and food and beverage. Tickets can be purchased at the PNC Arena box office, through Ticketmaster, or by calling (919) 861-5494. On-sale dates are Sept. 25 at 10 a.m. for Season Ticket Members and Sept. 27 at 10 a.m. for the general public.
The players will rotate stations opposite event attendees so that all fans get one station with each different player grouping. At the autograph station, fans will have the opportunity to meet and receive autographs from Hurricanes players. Attendees will also get to tour the Hurricanes' renovated locker room, where they will have photo opportunities with players. The on-ice portion will be divided into three sections: a skating only area, a hockey activity zone, and various photo stations.
Fans may bring their own skates for the ice session or pick up a complimentary rental pair. Attendees should bring their own cameras for the photo session. Children 13 years of age and younger must have a ticket and be accompanied by an adult with a ticket.
All proceeds will benefit the Carolina Hurricanes Foundation, which supports the health and educational needs of children throughout North Carolina. During the 2017-18 season, the Foundation donated a total of $495,000 in cash grants to 24 different children's charities and youth hockey organizations in North Carolina. In 2018, the Kids 'N Community Foundation was rebranded as the Carolina Hurricanes Foundation to further align with the team and the shared mission to make a positive, collective impact in the community.
