RALEIGH, NC. -The Carolina Hurricanes will be without forward Max Pacioretty Saturday as they take on the Pittsburgh Penguins.

In just his fourth game of the season, Thursday night in Columbus, the veteran left during the first period with a lower-body injury. While it's difficult news to lose a player of his caliber, it is a positive that the new injury is unrelated to the Achilles tear that kept him on the sidelines for the first three months of the season.
Rod Brind'Amour said following morning skate that Pacioretty is also doubtful to play tomorrow.
#67 coming out of the lineup shuffles the forward group a bit, most notably making room for Teuvo Teravainen to skate alongside Seth Jarvis and Sebastian Aho. Derek Stepan will draw back in after being a healthy scratch the last two games, operating with Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Stefan Noesen.
Behind the forwards, Frederik Andersen is expected to make a second consecutive start.
Playing in his first game in 67 days against the Blue Jackets on earlier this week, the 33-year-old stopped 31 in a winning effort.
Pyotr Kochetkov and Antti Raanta were both on the ice at morning skate, so it is unknown who will back up Andersen tonight.
Carolina's projected lineup for tonight's 7 p.m. EST puck drop is:
Forwards:
Teravainen - Aho - Jarvis
