NEWS & NOTES

Return To The Simple Game:After Carolina outscored New Jersey 11-2 in the first two games of the series, New Jersey was able to flip the script and get to their game plan in Game 3. It was the first time since December of 2019 that Carolina allowed eight goals. Look for Carolina to get to more of their attack tonight, getting the puck behind the Devils' defense and stressing them with their forecheck.
Go Fish:Sebastian Aho scored again on Sunday, giving him a six-game point streak (8 points). The longest by any Canes player this postseason, it is also the fifth-longest streak in franchise playoff history.

In Net:Frederik Andersen was removed from Sunday's game after allowing four goals in 20:53. Pyotr Kochetkov allowed four in relief, entering in a tough spot. Antti Raanta has missed the last two games due to an illness but was a full participant in Monday's practice. Could Father Finn be in line to return tonight?
A Potential Change Up Front?:At Monday's practice Jesper Fast worked on the team's second power-play unit in Jesse Puljujarvi's spot. Mackenzie MacEachern also took some line drills with Derek Stepan and Paul Stastny.
Let Marty Party:Jordan Martinook recorded the first penalty shot goal in team postseason history on Sunday. It was also part of a two-point effort for him, now marking three straight games with multiple points for #48.
Power Kill:Despite allowing a power play goal on Sunday for the first time in the second round, Carolina's 92.6% success rate while down a man ranks best among all NHL teams in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Their four shorthanded goals also lead all clubs.
No Morning Skate:Carolina will not hold a morning skate to start the day. Rod Brind'Amour will meet with the media at approximately 4:35 p.m.
