Paul Stastny Bio

The son of Hockey Hall of Famer Peter Stastny, Paul Stastny quickly made a name for himself in the NHL in 2006-07 with a 20-game point streak for the Colorado Avalanche, a League record for a rookie. At 21, Stastny was the third youngest player in NHL history with a streak that long, behind Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux.

Stastny also set a rookie record with a 15-game road point streak. He finished second in voting for the Calder Trophy, awarded to the League's top rookie, and his 78 points ranked second among first-year players and earned him a spot on the NHL All-Rookie Team.
