Goalie Sergei Bobrovsky and forwards Artemi Panarin and Riley Nash, who missed the Blue Jackets' 7-3 home win against the Florida Panthers on Thursday because of illness, are expected to play after participating in practice Friday. Columbus is 4-0-2 since a 4-1 loss at the Los Angeles Kings on Nov. 3.
Goalie Scott Darling will start for the Hurricanes, who are 2-0-1 in their past three games. Carolina has not played since a 3-2 overtime win against the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday.

Bobrovsky is 3-0-0 with a 1.01 goals-against average and a .966 save percentage in his past three starts. … Pesce, who missed the game against Chicago, left practice early Friday. Brind'Amour said he "doesn't feel quite right yet."
