Dobes surprises youth summer camp

The Bell Centre was rocking for Jakub Dobes during the Montreal Canadiens' electric run in the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs, but the kids at the Canadiens Hockey School just might have that beat.

The Canadiens goalie stopped by to surprise a team of 7-12-year-old youth hockey players on Wednesday, bringing out plenty of smiles and cheers of joy after the kids' summer workout.

“My dad is going to be so jealous!” one player exclaimed in a video posted by the team on social media.

The kids immediately swarmed Dobes as he entered the locker room, ending in a massive group hug for the young star.

The 25-year-old made sure there were plenty of high-fives to go around for everyone.

Dobes became a fan favorite for the Canadiens during the team’s run to the Eastern Conference Final, winning nine games in the playoffs, including two Game 7 victories.
