Slavin with Cup

Jaccob Slavin doesn’t have to choose between showing of his Olympic gold medal and showing off the Stanley Cup.

The Carolina Hurricanes defenseman – who became just the second American to earn both the Stanley Cup and an Olympic gold medal in one year – brought both trophies along on Saturday during his "Day with the Cup."

Slavin wrapped his gold medal around the neck of the Cup for a photoshoot in Raleigh.

Celebrating with his gold medal wasn’t the only activity Slavin had planned for his special day.
The veteran defenseman also took the Cup to enjoy some barbeque ribs…

… and some donuts for dessert.

Finally, Slavin walked off the delicious meals with a stroll though his neighborhood to give fans a chance to the Cup up close.

Also on Saturday, Slavin brought the Cup to The King's Chapel church, where he shared the trophy with administrators and volunteers from more than 20 local Christian-based charities in Raleigh.
