Rod Brind'Amouroffering his initial thoughts, post-game...
"Everybody played extremely hard and I thought we played really well. The first ten minutes of the second period wasn't great, we had to kill two penalties in there and the flow couldn't get going, but I thought it was a hard-fought game. I'm really happy with it, to be honest with you."
Brind'Amourcontinuing on his assessment of the contest...
"We know how they're going to play and the game went exactly how we thought it would. I like that we stuck with what we were trying to do and didn't get away from it. There's things that could've been better, sure. I'd have loved to score on the power play [in the third period or overtime], but not letting that affect the rest of our game was pretty solid."
Frederik Andersenwhen asked if it's difficult to get into a rhythm when only facing a total of 20 shots on goal...
"Maybe a little bit. We had the puck a lot, that made it more tough for me. They didn't really fire a lot of easy ones at me, they were battling for their chances. They obviously got some on their power plays, but in terms of the rhythm, it's probably tougher on the players because some of them have to sit for longer. They've got to be out there at different times, on different times. But that's not something you can control, so you just have to deal with it."
