RALEIGH, NC. -Without Martin Necas and Jordan Martinook (COVID-19) the Carolina Hurricanes will take on the first place New York Rangers Friday night.
In place of the two, Josh Leivo was recalled earlier this week and moments before the start of the team's morning skate Stefan Noesen was elevated from Chicago (AHL) to the Canes' Taxi Squad. After the skate Rod Brind'Amour said that Noesen would "probably be the extra" tonight. On the blue line, no changes are expected from Tuesday's 7-1 win over Boston. Freddie Andersen was in the starter's crease, opposite Jack LaFontaine. Antti Raanta, who backed up earlier this week, was not on the ice.
