Brown, 26, has skated in eight playoff games for Carolina during the 2019 postseason. The 5'11", 214-pound forward was recalled from Charlotte on April 16 and made his NHL playoff debut on April 18 in Game 4 of the First Round against Washington. Brown posted 35 points (19g, 16a) in 70 AHL games with the Checkers during the 2018-19 season, and has registered 125 points (53g, 72a) in 334 career AHL games. The Bloomfield Hills, Mich., native has earned two points (1g, 1a) in 28 career NHL games with the Hurricanes.
Bean, 20, posted 44 points (13g, 31a) in 70 AHL games during the regular season with Charlotte and was named to the 2018-19 AHL All-Rookie team. The 6'1", 181-pound defenseman made his NHL debut on Nov. 27 at Montreal and played two games for the Hurricanes in 2018-19. The Calgary, Alta., native was drafted by Carolina in the first round, 13th overall, of the 2016 NHL Draft.
