The third game of the Hurricanes Homegrown Series is Sunday, as the Carolina Hurricanes host the Boston Bruins in an early-evening puck drop.
New this season, the
Hurricanes Homegrown Series
features eight games that showcase some of the best that our local community has to offer in clothing, beer, food, art and music.
Heading out to PNC Arena for Sunday's game? Here's an in-depth look at each Homegrown aspect.

Clothing

Runaway designed and produced this long-sleeved shirt, which features a Hurricanes grim reaper-style character wearing an old-school goalie mask and riding a wild boar. When doors open at 4 p.m., 144 of these shirts will be available at The Eye's main location (south end of PNC Arena adjacent to the box office) for $30. There is a limit of two shirts per person per purchase.
The Homegrown Series shirts have been a popular item, so act fast!
Also featured in The Eye are these hats designed by Runaway, which feature the Hurricanes primary logo in between "NC," and they are available for $40.

Beer

Flights, featuring four six-ounce pours, of either Appalachian Mountain Brewery's beer or Bold Rock Cider's beverages will be available outside of section 129. You can select any combinations of the brews they offer, and the flights are priced at $11.
Food

homegrown_brisket

The featured in-house, signature food item: a smoked beef brisket sandwich with caramelized onions and a Cheerwine BBQ sauce. This item is a well-crafted local take on brisket with the hint of a legendary soft drink in the sauce. Fresh-made chips bring it all together, and it will be available for $12 at the section 109 concessions stand.
Art

This poster, designed by local artist George Hage, will be available free to the first 1,000 fans. Swing by section 108 to pick one up.
Music
Unfortunately, the inclement winter weather has impacted this facet of Sunday's Homegrown Series, as The Love Language will not be able to travel to PNC Arena in order to perform live.
