RALEIGH, N.C. - Brian Fork, CEO of Hurricanes Holdings, today issued the statement below regarding Hurricanes Hockey Network carriage. Hurricanes fans within the team’s television territory can watch Hurricanes Hockey Network’s televised games on Spectrum, Prime Video, Fubo and Comporium. DIRECTV has been offered similar terms, but has not agreed to carry Hurricanes games.
“Hurricanes Hockey Network is off to a tremendous start, with viewership up more than 50 percent on cable compared to our previous rightsholder and Prime Video subscriptions well ahead of expectations," said Fork. “We hope that DIRECTV will ultimately choose to provide access for hockey fans as they have in the past. But we are very happy with the response to our network on Spectrum and Fubo, and with the Prime Video partnership."
Hurricanes fans can reach DIRECTV customer service by calling (800) 531-5000 (available daily from 8:00 a.m. to midnight ET). Press "0" or say "agent" or "cancel" to get connected to a live representative. Live Chat is also available: visit the DIRECTV Support Page and select the message icon in the bottom-right corner to chat with an online agent.
The Hurricanes’ television territory includes all of North Carolina and South Carolina as well as most of Georgia and parts of Alabama. Fans outside of the Carolina Hurricanes television territory can continue to watch games with NHL Power Play on the ESPN App or NHL Center Ice. The Hurricanes’ full television schedule for 2026-27 is available here.
