RALEIGH, NC. -The Carolina Hurricanes' 25th anniversary season was filled with memories for many, including the club's introduction of a Hall of Fame, the first outdoor game, and another postseason run.

But before the ice was officially melted away at PNC Arena this week, select Season Ticket Members (STMs) were able to reminisce one final time and leave their mark at the team's annual Paint The Ice event, presented by Spectrum Paint.

Filling the surface over several 45-minute shifts, fans used the opportunity to both display their personal talent and leave final messages.

There were postings of thanks, tributes to players, and manifestations for the upcoming summer, as well as for next season.

6.1.23 Fowlers

For the Fowler family (above), they elected to illustrate one of their favorite moments of a game night at PNC Arena.

"My favorite part of the game is when 'Rock You Like A Hurricane' comes on and the players come out. For some reason it makes me feel like a little kid, so I wanted to put that onto the ice," Elyssa shared.

Representing Section 121, their painting also included messages of support for Brent Burns and Sebastian Aho, Elyssa, and Preston's daughters.

6.1.23 Flip

, a first-year STM dazzled with an eye-catching Ric Flair effort at center ice.

"I was just trying to think of North Carolina ties and it's my favorite thing to say while I'm here," the Section 322 supporter shared. "I was either going to do a portrait of Burns because he's a beast, or a spin-off of the Hurricanes logo. Or maybe something with Petey Pablo. But I thought this would capture more people."

As close to 1,000 Caniacs took their turn both putting their paint to the ice and examining what was being worked on by others, rest assured, Flip's piece was indeed capturing the attention of many.

In addition to Flip and the Fowler family, there were the

, including some who many have become accustomed to seeing showcase insanely talented works of art at the event.

While the event is always fun, it's always a bit bittersweet, knowing that it will be the final time that Caniacs will be gathered at PNC Arena until the fall.

But, after all, October is now just four months away.
