Poturalski, 27, has tallied 34 points (12g, 22a) in 23 AHL games with the Wolves in 2021-22 and leads the league in assists and points and ranks tied for first in goals. He was named the AHL's Player of the Week on Monday after posting 10 points (3g, 7a) in three games last week, including back-to-back four-point outings on Dec. 9 and Dec. 11 (2g, 6a). The 5'10", 183-pound forward was previously selected as the league's Player of the Week on Nov. 1, and he was also named the AHL's Player of the Month for October after registering a league-high 14 points (5g, 9a) in six games during the opening month of the season. Poturalski has now recorded 260 points (89g, 171a) in 322 career AHL games with Charlotte, San Diego and Chicago from 2016-21. The Williamsville, N.Y., native won the John B. Sollenberger Trophy as the league's top scorer last season and won the Jack A. Butterfield Trophy as the MVP of the Calder Cup Playoffs in 2019, leading the league with 23 points (12g, 11a) in 18 postseason games as the Checkers won the AHL championship. Prior to turning professional, he posted 81 points (36g, 45a) in 77 NCAA games at New Hampshire from 2014-16 and was named a top-10 finalist for the Hobey Baker Award in his final season with the Wildcats.
Chatfield, 25, suffered a lower-body injury at Vancouver on Dec. 12. He has recorded one assist in seven NHL games with Carolina this season, and since making his Hurricanes debut at Dallas on Nov. 30, he ranks second on the team in hits (19) and tied for third in blocked shots (7). Chatfield has now tallied two assists in 25 career NHL games with the Canucks and Hurricanes from 2020-21. The 6'1", 188-pound defenseman has also recorded seven points (4g, 3a) in 17 AHL games with Chicago this season and leads all Wolves blueliners in goals. Chatfield has registered 24 points (6g, 18a) in 159 career AHL games with Utica and Chicago from 2017-21. Prior to turning professional, the Ypsilanti, Mich., native spent three seasons with the Windsor Spitfires of the Ontario Hockey League (AHL) from 2014-17, posting 86 points (19g, 67a). Chatfield served as an alternate captain in his final season with the Spitfires and helped the team capture the 2017 Memorial Cup as Canadian Hockey League (CHL) champions.
