RALEIGH, NC - Don Waddell, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has reassigned forward Josh Leivo to the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Leivo, 28, has skated in two NHL games with the Hurricanes this season, and he has now registered 74 points (37g, 37a) in 209 career NHL games with Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary and Carolina since making his NHL debut with the Maple Leafs on Oct. 10, 2013. The 6'2", 192-pound forward has also tallied three assists in three AHL games with the Wolves in 2021-22. Leivo has skated in 174 career AHL games with Toronto and Chicago, earning 127 points (51g, 76a). Prior to turning professional, he posted 176 points (74g, 102a) in 193 games with the Sudbury Wolves and Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) from 2010-12. The Innisfil, Ont., native was selected by Toronto in the third round, 86th overall, of the 2011 NHL Draft.
