Two games in two nights welcome the Nashville Predators as they emerge from their five-day break with a matchup in Minnesota (tonight at 7 p.m. CT).
Nashville (27-21-8) rallied for a 5-3 win over the Dallas Stars on Feb. 12 prior to taking their mandatory five-day break. The Preds went into the break by playing back-to-back games and resume play with the same test. The club will play tonight in Minnesota before Ryan Johansen makes his return to Columbus on Sunday (at 5 p.m. CT).
The Wild (38-13-6) hold a seven-point lead on the Western Conference and are in the midst of an eight-game home stand. Minnesota lost a two-goal lead and the contest when they hosted the Preds on Jan. 22, but won the first pair of meetings in Music City.
Cody McLeod (Injured Reserve; lower-body) and Miikka Salomaki (IR; lower-body) were both on the ice prior to Nashville's morning skate on Saturday at Xcel Enery Center.
Pregame Update: The Predators have recalled Kevin Fiala from Milwaukee (AHL). He was not present for the team's morning skate, but could play tonight.
