Four points separate the Nashville Predators from the Calgary Flames and the first Western Conference Wild Card spot.
Tonight (at 8 p.m. CT), the teams will meet for the first of three times and for the only occasion at Scotiabank Saddledome. Nashville (20-17-7) is starting a back-to-back set of games (will also play the Oilers tomorrow at 8 p.m. CT) after falling to the Canucks, 1-0, on Tuesday. The Flames (24-20-3) most recently picked up a 5-2 win over the Panthers on home ice.
The Predators held an optional morning skate on Thursday, but skated in full during Wednesday's practice. Mattias Ekholm and Colton Sissons missed yesterday's skate and were given maintainence days, but skated this morning. Colin Wilson (Injured Reserve; lower-body) participated in Wednesday's practice (and Thursday) and skated with the defense. P.K. Subban (IR; upper-body) also took to the ice on Wednesday and Thursday.
D-man Brad Hunt, who was claimed on waivers on Tuesday from the Blues, logged his first practice with Nashville on Wednesday.
