Two Top 15 teams, Boston College and Quinnipiac, will be featured along with local host Robert Morris and Ferris State at the 5th annual Three Rivers Classic college hockey tournament Dec. 29-30 at PPG Paints Arena.

Boston College (13-6-1) is currently ranked No. 5 in the country and Quinnipiac (10-7-2) is ranked no. 13. Both teams reached the NCAA Frozen Four in 2016, when Quinnipiac defeated BC, 3-2, in the national semifinals before losing to North Dakota in the NCAA championship game.
BC and Quinnipiac will meet at 4:30 on Dec. 29 and Robert Morris will take on Ferris State at 7:30.
The championship and consolation games will be played at 4:30 and 7:30 on Dec. 30.
Robert Morris is 9-6-3 and sits in third place in Atlantic Hockey. Ferris State is 7-11-1 and holds down sixth place in the WCHA.
"We're excited to again host some of the best teams in college hockey right here in Pittsburgh," said tournament director Scott Zimmerman. "It's a chance for our fans to see future NHL stars and a tremendous, fast-paced style of play."
