For the fourth straight week, Penguins captain Sidney Crosby is the leading vote getter among all Metropolitan Division players in the race to be named a captain for the 2017 NHL All-Star Game in Los Angeles.

The NHL will once again use the 3-on-3 format for the All-Star Game, which will be held
Jan. 29
at the STAPLES Center. Each of the league's four divisions will be separated into teams, with the captains chosen by the fans through fan balloting.
Fans can vote for Crosby and all their favorite Penguins at
www.nhl.com/penguins/vote through Monday, Jan. 2 at 11:59 PM ET.
Heading into Pittsburgh's game tonight at New Jersey, Crosby leads the NHL in goals (24) and power-play goals (9), and places third overall in points (38). He's done all that despite missing the first six games of the season.
Crosby, who has goals in three straight games, trails teammate Evgeni Malkin by one point, and Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers by four points, in the scoring race. Crosby and Malkin have a game in hand on McDavid.
