The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned forward Josh Jooris to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins begin their opening-round best-of-five series against the Charlotte Checkers tonight at 7:00 PM at Bojangles' Coliseum in North Carolina. Game 2 is slated for tomorrow, April 21 at 6:00 PM. The series will shift back to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton for Game 3 on April 26 at 7:00 PM. If necessary, Games 4 and 5 will also be in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
This year, the WBS Penguins finished in second place in the Atlantic Division, three points ahead of Charlotte. This is the 16th-straight year WBS has qualified for the postseason, the longest active playoff streak in the AHL.
