The Flyers, who had a four-game winning streak end in a 5-1 loss at the New York Rangers on Tuesday, will try for their fourth straight home win.
The Maple Leafs hope to avoid their fourth consecutive defeat, which would mark their longest losing streak this season. Each of Toronto's past three losses have been by one goal, including two in overtime.

Players to watch

Maple Leafs center Nazem Kadri has one goal in his past 17 games but has two goals in two games against Philadelphia this season.
Flyers forward Claude Giroux has 26 points (three goals, 23 assists) in his past 17 games. He's in a five-way tie for second in NHL scoring with 54 points (14 goals, 40 assists), six points behind Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov.

The Maple Leafs and Flyers each held an optional morning skate. … Goulbourne will replace Leier in the lineup. … Neuvirth will make his second start since Nov. 28, when he sustained a lower-body injury in a 3-1 loss against the San Jose Sharks.
