Patrick, a forward, was the No. 2 pick in the 2017 NHL Draft by the Philadelphia Flyers. He scored his first NHL goal in his fourth game, at the Nashville Predators on Oct. 10, 2017.
Patrick was born into a hockey family. His father, Stephen Patrick, was selected by the Buffalo Sabres with the No. 20 pick of the 1980 NHL Draft and played eight seasons with the Sabres, New York Rangers and Quebec Nordiques. His uncle, James Patrick, was chosen by the Rangers with the No. 9 pick of the 1981 NHL Draft and played 1,280 games, 22nd all-time among NHL defensemen.
