He got his first NHL point with an assist Oct. 26, 2013 against the New York Islanders and scored his first NHL goal Dec. 9, 2013 against the Ottawa Senators.

Raffl finished his rookie season with nine goals and 22 points in 68 games and was one of the Flyers top penalty killers. He had three assists against the Washington Capitals on Dec. 15, 2013 and appeared in all seven of Philadelphia's Stanley Cup Playoff games that season, getting one assist against the New York Rangers in the Eastern Conference First Round.
Raffl signed a two-year contract extension on March 22, 2014, then scored 21 goals and led the Flyers in even-strength goals with 18 in 2014-15. He spent most of 2015-16 on one of Philadelphia's top two lines and had 31 points (13 goals, 18 assists) in 82 games.
On Feb. 28, 2016, Raffl signed a three-year contract extension, and he signed a two-year extension March 26, 2019.
Raffl represented Austria at the 2014 Olympics, scoring one goal and three points in four games.
