Scott Laughton Bio

Laughton, 24, was selected by the Philadelphia Flyers in the first round (No. 20) of the 2012 NHL Draft after he had 53 points (21 goals, 32 assists) in 64 games for Oshawa of the Ontario Hockey League. He signed an entry-level contract on Aug. 8, 2012.

He began the 2012-13 season with Oshawa before he made his debut for the Flyers in the shortened NHL season against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Jan. 19, 2013. Laughton didn't have a point in five games with the Flyers and returned to Oshawa for the 2013-14 season, where he had 87 points (40 goals, 47 assists) in 54 games and was an OHL First-Team All-Star.
