RED WINGS (30-38-11) at BLUE JACKETS (44-29-6)
7 p.m. ET; FS-O, FS-D, NHL.TV

A Blue Jackets win and a loss of any kind by the Florida Panthers against the Nashville Predators on Tuesday (7:30 p.m. ET; FS-F, FS-TN, NHL.TV) would clinch a berth for the Blue Jackets for the second consecutive season.
Columbus could also clinch with an overtime/shootout loss and a Panthers loss in regulation.
A win would give the Blue Jackets 96 points, tying them with the Pittsburgh Penguins for second place in the Metropolitan Division. However the Blue Jackets would remain in third place based on the Penguins leading the regulation/overtime win (ROW) tiebreaker 43-38.
The Red Wings have won three straight games in regulation for the first time this season. They have been eliminated from Stanley Cup Playoffs contention.

Players to watch

Red Wings forward Dylan Larkin has nine points (five goals, four assists) in his past seven games.
Blue Jackets forward Cam Atkinson has 10 points (five goals, five assists) in a seven-game point streak.

They said it

"Hopefully they're real tired and slow and we've got lots of jump. That being said, with what they have at stake, I don't think they'll allow themselves to be tired." -- Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill, on the Blue Jackets playing for the first time since ending a three-game western Canada trip Saturday
"It's been tough. We win, then Philly wins. New Jersey keeps winning and Florida was winning. It puts a lot of pressure on everyone." -- Blue Jackets defenseman Jack Johnson
