The Ducks ended a 12-game losing streak (0-8-4), their longest since entering the NHL in 1993, with a 3-0 win at the Minnesota Wild on Thursday. The last time they won back-to-back games was a four-game streak (Dec. 9-17). John Gibson, who had been winless since a 4-2 victory at the Pittsburgh Penguins on Dec. 17, made 37 saves for his 18th NHL shutout.
New Jersey is 2-5-0 in its past seven games and has allowed at least four goals in five of its past six. Rookie goalie Mackenzie Blackwood is 2-1-0 with a 3.33 goals-against average and .899 save percentage in his past four games.
